Easy target! Chris Pratt hosted the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Saturday, Sept. 27, and used the opportunity to poke some fun at the NFL, which has had a rough go of things as of late.

After Pratt, 35, opened the 40th season with a monologue that featured his wife Anna Faris, SNL‘s Beck Bennett and Taran Killam started a segment of “NFL Intros.”

“Obviously the NFL is under tremendous scrutiny right now with the series of embarrassing scandals over the past few weeks,” Bennett said as announcer Jim Nantz.

“But, they’re trying their best to move forward and start taking responsibility for their actions,” Killam, as announcer Phil Simms, chimed in.

“Accountability, that’s what the NFL is all about,” added Nantz. “I think you’ll see that reflected in today’s player introductions.”

Pratt and the male stars of SNL then jibed the ongoing legal issues facing various NFL stars, acting as football players who listed their charges with their names.

As the Baltimore Ravens, the comedians became players who committed assault, manslaughter, treason, and a “whole bunch of stuff.” The actors then impersonated the Carolina Panthers, taking accountability for burning down a strip club, being a part of the “American Taliban,” and doing “some weird stuff on a cruise ship.”
